Dear Mom

I'm here in Chicago at the National MS Society's national conference with many amazing volunteers and fundraisers. Hearing their stories about why they are part of the movement to end MS is so inspiring! I am facilitating two workshops today, at one of which I'll be sharing your story. I'm a little nervous which is normal for me, but I know it's not about nerves and it's really not about me. The theme of the conference is "we're unstoppable" and I'm embracing it. The momentum to spread awareness about this devil that is MS can no longer be stopped, and I'm going to keep pushing it every day.

Some of my old buddies from the San Diego chapter are here - so good to see them. My belly is big and round, and my maternity pants look a little like they should be Granddad's but no one has judged me yet (to my face anyway).

Apparently the Bumpuses have a rooster from their latest round of chicks. Jesse called the old rooster "the general" and believes that this new guy is a super hybrid mutant general. I think it's an inbred mutant general. Either way it crows.

I have a huge gut. There's no two ways about it. So big in fact that I couldn't go snowboarding with Jesse last Friday at Keystone on opening day. Oh well neither could Jody with her beautiful new JJ or Athena with brand new Amelia (mailing her ann tomorrow). Babies everywhere!
