Yesterday was Jesse's birthday. I haven't been able to shop for him but I ordered some stuff online and made him a card and a little scavenger hunt in the house to find his gifts. My birthday was last Tuesday and Jesse got me a beautiful necklace that he ordered custom. It's a heart-shaped purple amethyst - which is the birthstone for February - wrapped in a white gold heart. Jesse says it's because Teddy was created out of love. The heart and stone are attached to a little diamond-shaped piece that the chain runs through that has seven diamonds on it - since we're in the seventh year of our marriage. He always gets the most meaningful gifts! Love him.
No going out to dinner for our birthdays this year because evenings are Teddy's more fussy time and I can't imagine it being relaxing.
The first weekend in March each year is the big off-roading event that we've gone to every year for ages. TDS it's called. Last year I got to drive because of Jesse's knee. We missed the event and seeing everyone, but I didn't miss sleeping in a tent in the windy sandy desert. Sounds like the mostly male group had a great time without us!
