Last weekend we took Teddy on his first camping trip - to Rocky Mountain National Park. He was a happy camper! Friday night he didn't sleep great (I think he was cold) so we brought him in our bed which meant that we didn't sleep. Saturday night we insulated the tent better and it wasn't quite so cold - he slept like a rock. Luna was stressed out... really? You're in the mountains, how bad can it be? Jesse has been going to this specific campsite nearly every summer since he was about 8 years old. He said it's "full circle" for him and he can't believe that he's bringing his own kid here now. Ah, summers. Wouldn't it be great to have them off like we used to?
As a kid I used to watch shark week every summer, lying on the living room floor in front of the big TV that was also a piece of furniture, sucking up the air conditioning from the big window unit. And then proceed to have nightmares about drowning and sharks. It's so hot in Denver right now that it feels like those Iowa summers again! I'm really enjoying the summer and looking forward to fall too. August already.
