Dear Challenge Walk Supporters

As you know, this Friday, Saturday and Sunday I will embark on a 50-mile journey on foot toward a cure for multiple sclerosis. I’m recovering from a blister earned in training two weeks ago and carrying some extra weight around my middle but am aiming to complete all 50 miles. Please be thinking blister-free cool weather for me!

The weekend won’t be all difficulty though… I’ve already raised over $3000 (some is not in the system yet) thanks to your incredible generosity. I'll enjoy hotel accommodations (not camping) and rest-stops every 2-3 miles, plus medical and vehicular support (I can just flag down a van and get in if I get worn out). And hopefully I’ll get to catch-up with many of my now-distant friends and family along the way.

With my new phone, I plan to take photos along the route to email to Mom. The nursing home staff will print my messages and photos for her and by Monday morning she’ll have a “scrap book” of my journey in her honor. I also plan to visit her in a few weeks and will tell her about the weekend in detail - and hopefully share some video I've taken along the way.

If you want to hear from me along the route, text me and I’ll add you to my text update group. Or (to be social media savvy) check out the post below.

Anywho, whether you stalk me along the route (literally or virtually), or we catch up afterwards, or you just read about it later here, or none of the above, I’m grateful for your support! Thanks for being a friend.
